CoIII-Ebox treatment alleviated the HRG-induced decrease in cytokeratin-18 expression in breast cancer cells. A) Western blot films showed a time-dependent decrease in cytokeratin-18 in response to HRG in SKBR3 and MCF7 cells. This effect of HRG was alleviated when co-treated with CoIII-Ebox. For both cell lines, the time-dependent increase in Snail in response to HRG was not affected by CoIII-Ebox treatment. GAPDH was used as a loading control. Relative quantification of cytokeratin-18 expression in B) SKBR3 and C) MCF7 cells. Data are represented as means ± S.E.M., n =3. Student’s t-tests determined statistical significance from control treatment groups where *P <0.05 and **P<0.005.
