Effect of cytokines on the posttranslational modification of interendothelial junction proteins in human brain microvascular endothelial cells (HBMvECs). (A) Confluent cells were treated with tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) or interleukin-6 (IL-6; 0 to 100 ng/mL, 18 hours). After treatment, total cell protein was harvested for immunoprecipitation (IP) and Western blotting analysis.
