Fig 1. Evolution of body weight and renal function in Col4a3KO and WT mice.

Fig 1

(A, B) Reduction of body weights in male (A) and female (B) KO mice as compared to WT littermates at 7 weeks 2 days and 7 weeks 6 days of age, respectively. (C-F) Increase in renal dysfunction biomarkers (C, D) accompanied an increase in kidney injury biomarkers (E, F) in KO mice after 5 weeks of age. Serum BUN (C), urinary ACR (D), urinary NGAL (E), and urinary KIM-1 (F) levels were significantly increased in KO mice at 5–6 weeks of age and continued to increase until the end of the monitored period (10 weeks). Mixed model data analysis was used for the comparison between WT and KO mice of same sexes. *, significance vs WT males; #, significance vs WT females. (A, B) n = 10 to 15 mice per group. (C, D) n = 5 to 10 mice per group. (E, F) n = 3 to 5 mice per group.
