TABLE I.

Image similarity metrics: PSNR, SSIM, and MI computed between each original or reconstructed scan and the reference scan. The highest similarity value in each row has been highlighted in bold. The results indicate that all reconstruction methods generated scans that were more similar to the reference scan as compared to the original scans. Overall, the highest values were obtained from image-based SRR with a rectangular slice profile. The last three rows show the average expert rankings and the average rankings of features of types A and B in the images, respectively. The average expert evaluation suggests that SRR with Gaussian slice profile generated the best results.
