Health care stakeholder recommendations and strategies to reduce UV radiation exposure

Recommended behaviors Targets
• Minimize sun exposure between 10 am and 2 pm
• Apply broad-spectrum, high-SPF sunscreen to exposed areas 15 minutes before anticipated sun exposure
•Reapply sunscreen after swimming, when sweating heavily, and after every 2 hours spent outdoors
• Seek shade when outside
• Cover as much skin as possible with clothing
• Wear wide-brimmed hats
• Protect eyes by wearing sunglasses
