A greater number of hapten-specific B cells in spleen biopsies 14 days after immunization correlated to decreased nicotine brain concentrations in immunized mice. Panels include mice immunized with 6CMUNic-KLH and 2CMUNic-KLH, as labeled (n=6 each group). Individual brain nicotine concentrations were significantly correlated to A) CMUNic-specific IgMhigh B cells, but not B) CMUNic-specific GC B cells, C) CMUNic-specific ASC B cells, and D) CMUNic-specific swIgB cells.
