Analysis was conducted on data pooled across the whole testing session, epoched in 20-s segments. Analyses were conducted pairwise, on different combinations of variables. For each pairwise comparison one variable was treated as the dependent variable (drawn on the y-axis) and another as the independent variable (drawn on the x-axis). All epochs were rank ordered and sorted into decile bins according to the independent variable. The median values of the dependent variable obtained within each decile bin have been drawn on the y axis, together with the standard deviation recorded within each decile bin. The results of the split-half linear regression analyses described in the text have been drawn as shaded areas. Red indicates that the regression was significant (< .05) and grey indicates that it was not significant.
