Effect of amino acid substitutions on functional binding (Km′) of target DNA by variant SIV integrase proteins. Strand transfer activities were measured using an immobilized preprocessed-LTR plate-based assay. GraphPad Prism 5.0 was used to transform TRF data using Michaelis-Menten equations to obtain target DNA Km′. Asterisks indicate statistically significant differences. Statistical significance was calculated for individual pairs of data using a one-sample two-tailed t test with a statistical cutoff of P ≤ 0.05.
