Effect of MEHP on the antral follicle mRNA levels of the steroidogenic enzymes. Antral follicles were isolated from adult CD-1 mice and were cultured with vehicle (DMSO) or MEHP (0.1–10 μg/ml) for 24–96 h. Following each 24 h time point, antral follicles were pooled per treatment group and were subjected to qPCR for the measurements of the mRNA levels of Star (A), Cyp11a1 (B), Hsd3b1 (C), Cyp17a1 (D), Hsd17b1 (E), and Cyp19a1 (F). All values were normalized to Actb. Graph represents means ± SEM from three to nine separate experiments, with 8–16 follicles/treatment group in each experiment.
