Lipolysis in fat pads and primary adipocytes from RRM rats. Visceral white adipose tissue samples (epididymal, omental, and retroperitoneal adipose tissue) and primary adipocytes were cultured as described in the Materials and methods section. Glycerol release in the medium was measured. The glycerol release in the fat pads (A) and primary adipocytes (B) was significantly increased in the RRM rats.
