Ventricular β-adrenoceptor expression obtained by radioligand binding in (A) wild-type and (B) β₁ overexpressing mice (β₁-tg) at an age of 4–6 months. In both C57BL/6- and FVB/N-based β₁-tg mice, β-adrenoceptor expression was strikingly increased compared with the corresponding wild-type. Of note, the (over-) expression level was higher in tissue from transgenic mice with an FVB/N background. Each homogenate (10–12 ventricles per genotype) was used in three independent experiments in duplicates.
