The percent of individuals with living parents and children in the 1988 PSID matches that in the 1994 HRS (Henretta, Grundy, and Harris 2001) and the 1988 NSFH very closely (Reading down the column the NSFH numbers for 1998 are 70.1, 43.4, 55.8, 90.2, 39.8, 51.4). The percent of individuals with living parents in the 2007 PSID matches that in the 2011 SCA very closely.
