Note. A score of zero indicates that participants did not perceive themselves to be discrepant from Scott's/Sarah's preferred body size. A positive score indicates that participants thought of themselves as larger than Scott's/Sarah's preferred body size and a negative score indicates that participants thought of themselves as smaller than Scott's/Sarah's preferred body size. The possible range of scores was 8 to −8.
