The main connected components of protein-protein interaction network of the cancer-specific differential genes. Up-regulated genes in cases versus negatives and BGCs are in red, down-regulated genes are in green. The large connected component (left) can be separated into two up-regulated sub-modules by removing the down-regulated genes. The down regulated genes are related to cytoskeleton, whereas the sub-modules contain mitosis, replication, and cell cycle genes. The small connected component (right) also contains mainly up-regulated genes, and has TP53 as the main hub.
