Sec6 binds both the binary and ternary SNARE complex. Sec6 protein, at the listed concentrations, was incubated with 25 nm GST and GST-SNAREs (GST-Sso1CTb, GST-Sso1CTb·Sec9 or binary SNAREs, and GST-Sso1CTb·Sec9·Snc2 or ternary SNAREs). The Sec6 protein that bound to the beads was quantified by densitometry of SDS-PAGE stained with Krypton high-sensitivity protein stain.
