Quantitative reverse transcription-coupled polymerase chain reaction analysis of human embryonic stem cell (hESC)-derived retinal cells differentiated in 2D adherent monolayer condition (2, 3, 4, 12 weeks) and in 3D retina-like tissue (6 weeks). Expression values of key eye field, photoreceptor (PR), horizontal, amacrine, and ganglion cell markers are presented as fold change over control (pluripotent hESCs, day 0) using the comparative ddCt method [41]. Fold ratio of 1 denotes no change in gene expression. GAPDH was used as internal control. The analysis was done in technical triplicates. The error bars represent standard deviation (SD) ± mean.
