Family history (FH) of an alcohol use disorder (AUD) is associated with greater Now bias in non-heavy drinking adults but not emerging adults. Age group and FH had an interacting effect on ICR [F(1,50) = 16.40, p < 0.001, η2 = 0.203]. This interaction reflects dramatically higher ICRs among adults with a first degree relative with an AUD (FHP) relative to adults with no first degree relative with an AUD [FHN; F(1,12) = 7.21, p = 0.020, η2 = 0.366] and a smaller, opposing trend effect of FH among emerging adults [F(1,37) = 3.89, p = 0.056, η2 = 0.092]. p < 0.05.
