Effect of AEM on scopolamine-induced memory impairments in the Y-maze test. The mice under different groups were administered with equivalent volume of saline, tacrine (10 mg/kg, p.o.), or AEM (62.5, 125, and 250 mg/kg, p.o.) for seven days. Scopolamine (1 mg/kg, i.p.) was given to all the groups except control group 30 min before trial. The spontaneous alternation score (a) and numbers of arm entries (b) were recorded. Data are represented as mean ± SEM (n = 6 ~ 9) and the results are considered to be statistically significant at p < 0.05 and ∗∗∗ p < 0.001.
