Point contours trace the first and second formants. Average spectra, extracted from the middle of the vowel are shown (right), demonstrating the higher F1 associated with electrolarynx speech. The spectrograms also illustrate other differences between laryngeal and electrolarynx speech, including changes to F0, pitch dynamics, and aspiration.
