Disordered Fibonacci quasi-crystal arrangement of fibrils. This type of quasi-crystal is deterministic over a long range. The radial distribution function (inset) plots the number of fibrils per unit area (normalized by dividing by the fibril number density in the image) separated by the distance shown on the horizontal axis.
