Characterization of the viscosity of DSCG solutions. (A) Viscosity parallel (diamonds) and perpendicular (triangles) to n and (B) anisotropy of the viscosity of DSCG solution as a function of concentration. Microspheres with a diameter of 0.75 μm were used. Each point was measured from a data set containing at least 230 microspheres and 8000 positions (11,800 individual microspheres in total, and more than 270,000 positions). The standard error of the mean was used as the error bars, but these are generally too small to be visible in figures. The unit of viscosity is equivalent to (mPa s) or cP.
