Depletion of KDM4B protein transiently increases cell proliferation and cell death. BrdU assays (A, D, and G), cell counts (B, E, and H), and pH3 immunostaining (I) performed on KDM4B-MO–treated embryos reveal a transient increase in cell proliferation at stage 12. At stages 12/13, there was an increase in cell death observed with Caspase3 immunostaining (C, F, and J) on the KDM4B-MO–treated side compared with the control side.
