Comparison between LT-IIa and Alhydrogel as adjuvants in conjunction with RVEc. Groups of BALB/c mice (n = 10 per group) were immunized by the i.d. route on days 0 and 10 with low- or high-dose RVEc adsorbed to Alhydrogel (Alum) or combined with LT-IIa (0.03 μg), as described in Materials and Methods. On day 22, each group of animals was divided into two groups of five. Groups of mice were challenged with ricin on day 22 or 203.
