Multiple strains of streptococci (including S. pyogenes, S. agalactiae, S. dysgalactiae, S. equi, S. uberis, S. mutans, S. pneumoniae, S. suis, and S. oralis), S. aureus, E. faecalis and B. cereus were tested for susceptibility to ClyR. Strains were washed once with PBS and resuspended to a final OD600 of 0.8–1.2. After treating with 25 μg/ml of ClyR at 37 °C for 20 min, the final in OD600 were subtracted from the PBS treated control well to yield the net change in OD600. Experiments were done in triplicate and the error bars show the standard error.
