Implant-associated tissues were collected from IL-10-GFP reporter mice at the indicated intervals following infection and processed for flow cytometry. The CD45+GFP+ leukocyte population from S. aureus biofilm infected tissues (A) was gated to identify IL-10-GFP expressing Ly6C+ and Ly6G+ cells (B). The percentage of CD45+GFP+Ly6GhighLy6C+ MDSCs (C) and CD45+GFP+ Ly6GLy6C+ monocytes (D) is shown. Results are representative of 2 independent experiments (n = 10 mice/time point). Statistical differences are denoted by asterisks (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01; unpaired 2-tailed Student’s t test).
