Survival of the inoculated bacterial strains in a field microplot experiment. Abundance of bacteria were determined on leaf disks (n = 4) of sprayed plants collected 1 (A) and 8 (B) days after spraying. The number of colonies after 8 days did not differ significantly between the treatments according to one-way ANOVA [F(4) = 1.13, P = 0.38], even though 1 day after spraying significant differences were observed.
