The effects of miR-34a on growth of prostate cancer cell lines. Suppressive effects of miR-34a on the growth of PC-3 cells were observed. After transfection (24 h), cells were seeded into 96-well plates at a density of 1,000 cells/well. The effect of miR-34a on cell proliferation was detected at 0, 24 and 48 h after seeding using Cell Counting Kit-8 (n=4, *P<0.05 and **P<0.01, compared with the negative control).
