Evaluation of survival using the Tokuhashi score. The Kaplan-Meier and log-rank analyses revealed that (A) the presence of metastasis to the major internal organs was not statistically significant; however, (B) the primary cancer site and presence of spinal cord palsy exhibited significant differences (P<0.05); (B and C) no other variable was a significant prognostic factor. Survival rate examined by the Tokuhashi score; the Kaplan-Meier and log-rank analyses demonstrated that (D) patients with scores of 12–15 and 9–11 and those with scores of 12–15 and 0–8 had significantly different prognoses and that (E) for patients with spinal metastasis, those with scores of 12–15 and 0–8 and those with scores of 9–11 and 0–8 had significantly different prognoses (P<0.01).
