Mutant clones homozygous for Su(var)3-92 (loss-of-function allele) or wild-type (control) were identified as GFP– cells. Knock-down clones expressing Su(var)3-9 RNAi or wild-type control were identified as GFP+ cells. Testies with one or more mutant clones at the GSC position were counted as “testes with GCS clones”.
