After a peptidic prepurification, the culture supernatants of A. veronii, A. hydrophila and D. nishinomyaensis were tested for their antimicrobial properties against the two Aeromonas species and against the Gram positive D. nishinomyaensis. Activities that appear as zones of growth inhibition, are lost when the extracts are heat-denatured with a complete denaturation at 95 °C.
