UBE3A interacts with the S5a proteasome subunit. HEK293 cells were transfected with FLAG-tagged wild-type UBE3A expression plasmid and after 24 h cells were collected and extracts incubated with the indicated purified GST fusion proteins. After extensive washing, bound UBE3A was detected by western blotting using the anti-UBE3A antibody and is compared with UBE3A present in 10% of the input.
