Distance between the STL1 gene locus before and after activation, as well as the mean shift after activation have been measured from cells analysed in Fig. 4c (n=95 wt cells, n=95 for nup60Δ cells and n=91 for nup2Δ cells). Results from mutant cells have been compared with wt cells using a Student's t-test, ***P<0.001, **0.001<P<0.01, *0.01<P<0.05.
