Mice were subjected to 60 minutes of MCAO occlusion and euthanized 24 h after occlusion. Infarct volume was determined by 2,3,5-triphenyl-2H-tetrazolium chloride staining. Infarct volume is reduced in EP1−/− mice (23.88 ± 4.008 mm3) compared to the wild-type (28.91 ± 1.428 mm3) although differences are not statistically significant (P = 0.26, unpaired two-tailed t-test). WT, N = 8; EP1−/−, N = 8. WT = wild-type, EP1−/− = EP1 knockout.
