(A) TOTE was significantly positively correlated with CS+ area, replicating and extended prior findings (Bieszczad & Weinberger, 2010c). (B) Most importantly, the use of iTOTE was significantly negatively correlated with CS+ area: the greater the use of iTOTE, the smaller the CS+ area. Thus, the loss of CS+ expansion by overtraining is attributable to a change in learning strategy. As strategy use was determined prior to mapping this indicates that it is predictive of CS+ area.
