Meta-analysis of mean age of onset of cervical dystonia in men and women: meta-analysis of the mean age of onset by sex in our cohort of 278 cervical dystonia patients and 3 other studies which reported mean age of onset of cervical dystonia for both sexes (16–18). This analysis demonstrated a significantly earlier mean age of onset for men than women. The mean age of onset of cervical dystonia was significantly earlier by 4.30 years (95% CI; 1.80–6.80) in men than women (p = 0.0008).
