Quantification of PQ-9 and Tocochromanols in Arabidopsis Leaves.
Reverse-phase HPLC was used to analyze total lipids in the leaves of 3-week-old wild-type (WT) and fbn5-1 plants grown on MS medium (+1% sucrose) ([A] and [B]) and in 6-week-old wild-type and transgenic plants grown in soil ([C] and [D]). The quantities of individual tocopherols, PQ-9, and PC-8 were determined relative to standards.
