Transcript Levels of Genes Involved in Prenylquinone Biosynthesis in Wild-Type and fbn5-1 Plants.

(A) Comparative expression of 10 genes involved in prenylquinone biosynthesis, with ACT7 control. Expression was measured via microarray analysis.

(B) Determination of relative expression of FBN5, SPS1, and SPS2 in wild-type and fbn5-1 plants with real-time RT-PCR. RNA samples were extracted from 3-week-old wild-type and fbn5-1 homozygous mutant seedlings grown on MS medium + 1% sucrose. ACT7 expression was used for normalization. Significant differences in gene expression in the wild-type and fbn5-1 plants were determined with Student’s t test. Data are means ± se (n = 4).
