(Z)-​1-​[N-​(2-​aminoethyl)-​N-​(2-​ammonioethyl)amino]diazen-​1-​ium-​1,​2-​diolate (NONOate) (3 × 10−4 M) significantly reduced intracellular ATP level in differentiated podocytes at 8 h (B) but not at 1 h (A). NONOate dose-dependently increased L-lactate concentration at 1 and 8 h (C,D). Flux analyzer showing that NONOate reduced OCR (E) while increasing ECAR (F) compared with control. NONOate did not alter cell migration (G). Similar to antimycin, NONOate had no effect on lamellipodia formation, which was inhibited by 2-DG (H). Bar, 50 μm.
