aIntact seeds were extracted sequentially with 0.2 % ammonium oxalate, 0.2 N NaOH and 2 N NaOH, neutralized, and assayed by the phenol-sulfuric acid method against glucose standards. The results are shown as μg/mg of seeds. Analyses were performed in triplicate and results are given as μg/mg seed ± SE. All genotypes were grown, harvested, and stored together. Letters ‘b’ ‘c’ and ‘d’ denote a significantly difference from the wild type (Dunnett’s test, P <0.05; P <0.01; P <0.001 respectively)
