MDS was performed on the scene by function matrix, yielding a coordinate for each scene along each MDS dimension, as well as a correlation between each function and each dimension. The fraction of variance in scene distances explained by each dimension was also computed, showing that these first four dimensions capture 81% of the function distance model.
