Effect of polyphylla saponin I on lung tissue injury induced by influenza a virus in mice. All mice were sacrificed at the end of the experiment. A portion of lung specimen fixed in 10% neutral-buffered formalin was embedded in paraffin, sliced into 4-μm thickness, and stained with hematoxylin and eosin.
