Rules uniting ENC agents and growth cone agents

  1. Chemotaxis rule, whereby growth cones and ENC cells respond chemotactically to the same factors produced by the gut (see GDNF-bead attraction assays (Young et al., 2001).

  2. Gradient formation rule, whereby ENC cells consume this factor (consumption is already invoked to produce logistical growth; see above).
