LOH status was investigated at four loci on 18q from a representative patient: D18S55 and D18S56 (A), D18S67 and D18S487 (B). Three loci (D18S55, D18S56, and D18S487) showed a greater than 40% reduction in fluorescence units in at least 1 of 2 allele peaks in tumor DNA relative to normal DNA. Thus, this tumor was defined as 18q LOH-positive, and MSI-High as well.
