Parasagittal ultrasonography (US) of the gastric antrum layers measured in a case. Indicated by arrowhead, linear layer is formed from the merger of two echogenic mucosal surfaces. Linear layer (long arrow) is the echogenic submucosal layer. Linear hypoechogenic layer (between arrowhead and long arrow) is the muscularis mucosa layer. Linear hypoechogenic layer (outer portion of the long arrow mark) is the muscularis propria layer.
