Histological changes and measurement of filtrated resveratrol in the dorsal skin. (A) Histological examination of the dorsal skin of brown guinea pigs was conducted by Fontana-Masson staining (×200). The arrow heads indicate melanin (B). Densitometry analysis of melanin production was conducted using version 4.0 of the NIS-Elements imaging software. (C) Quantification of filtrated resveratrol in the dorsal skin was measured by LC/MS. The results are the averages of three independent experiments. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Tukey’ multiple comparisons test was used for statistical analyses. ###p<0.001, *p<0.05 and ***p<0.001 indicate statistically significant differences.
