The S. aureus and P. aeruginosa strains used are drug-resistant strains isolated from patients with otitis media in a hospital.
This assay was performed in 10 mM sodium phosphate (pH 7.4) with 10% Mueller-Hinton broth (MHB).
The procedure used was in accordance with NCCLS (National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards) methods.
