Arabidopsis AtPAT14 is auto-acylated. AtPAT14 (PAT14) and AtPAT14C157S (PAT14C157S) were detected by western blotting with an anti-V5 antibody using the ECL method. The molecular weight of AtPAT14 and AtPAT14C157S is approximately 35 kD. A band corresponding to AtPAT14-V5 was detected in the +NH2OH treated sample, indicating that it is bound to an acyl group via a labile thioester linkage confirming that it is autoacylated.
