(A) Validation of the in situ DNaseI-sensitivity assay: MGF-C25E reduces the rate of digestion. Photomicrographs show that the nuclear sizes of the MGF-C25E-treated cells are significantly increased when compared to those of the control cells. The inhibition of the FAK or ERK1/2 signals repressed the MGF-C25E-induced increase in the nuclear size. Bars = 100 μm.
