Figure 5. — Poly(A) length analysis of capped and uncapped transcripts from non-translating mRNPs. RNA from mRNP gradient fractions were pooled, depleted of rRNA and separated by cap affinity chromatography on immobilized anti-cap antibody. RNA present in the capped (bound) and uncapped (unbound) fractions was GI-tailed and analyzed as in Figure 4 for one control transcript (RPLP0, (A)) and one cytoplasmic capping target (ZNF207, (B)). All experiments were performed in triplicate and the data show a representative experiment for each mRNA.
