Identification of Rab1-positive compartment in Leishmania. To identify the LdRab1-positive compartment in Leishmania, Leishmania overexpressing GFP-LdRab1 was stained with various compartment-specific markers, such as 5-min internalized Alexa Fluor 594 Hb and anti-LdRab5 for early endosome, LysoTracker Red (100 nm) for lysosome, and LPG2-HA for Golgi, as described under “Experimental Procedures.” Finally, cells were visualized under a confocal microscope.
